Paint guys...can a camper shell / topper be repainted?
I found a used camper shell for sale for about a 1/3 the price of new. I think it is race red and my truck is Ruby Red. Can these shells be repainted or is the cost or design just too prohibitive?

They can be repainted no problem, but paint work typically isn't cheap. Just do yourself a favor if you decide to have it painted and go to a good paint/body shop. Had a new MAACO paint job from previous owner of my 74 F100 and within the next 2 years it was all flaking off.
If the red difference bothers you enough before painting, could always Plastidip the whole thing. Black top would bother me less than a different red, lol

I have repainted a cap that I had on my Tacoma. I need to redo the one for my F150 even though it is the correct color. I would have it repainted but I hope it is a good deal. Ruby Red is going to cost a pretty penny.
