Default Ordered Same Nav Gear Today

Jensen VX7020, Scosche Dash kit, antenna adapter, Metra 70-5520 wiring harness, and a emblem back up camera.

The camera came from tailgatecameras.com on sale for $139 shipped. Its their lowest price model with 720 res, but all I want it for is to keep from backing into stuff.

The Nav gear was $340 from Crutchfield, I priced the same stuff on Amazon for $308 shipped. My misses did a survey for a trade publication and received a $50 Amazon gift card, so that knocked it down to $258.

Im pretty pleased with indash nav and a emblem backup camera for $397.

Anyone have the Crutchfield install directions that would share them with me? I don't think I will need them, but it never hurts.

The Nav gear has started rolling in along with a few other items.

The dash kit I bought on Amazon arrived today. Its the wrong one.

I ordered a Scosche kit, I received a Metra kit with the cutout for driver info.

I only paid $15 with free shipping, Im not sure if its worth the trouble to dig the box out of the trash and send it back.

I bought that same head unit! I ended up trading it in on a pioneer. I can share the crutch field instructions if you want, but they weren't very helpful to me. I just watch YouTube videos to learn how to pull a dash apart. Once you get the center panel off (4 screws) it's pretty straightforward.

Its the wiring part of the instructions I was after. Ive read that I will have to tap into the fuse box behind the passenger kick panel for power. Did you have to do that?

How was the power on the Jensen? Im not changing the speakers or adding a sub, actually I don't listen to the radio much. If the misses is with me, we talk, its usually the only time we have each others undivided attention.

Both your stereo and the harness adapter should have wiring diagrams included. I'd be happy to share the directions though. PM me your email for the hookup.

If you need additional power, just tap into the radio harness, no need to run a wire all the way to the fuse box. I can't think of any reason to, other than power for the camera?

Power wise the Jensen is kinda weak, but it will sound better than stock by a bit. I didn't like the nav, and the slow startup. That's why I ended up paying a lot more for a pioneer later. That's personal preference though.
