Orange wrench No power
This afternoon a Big orange wrench appeared on instrument panel.
When I start up the truck everything is fine until I pushed on the accelerator, thats when the orange wreck appears and the idle drops and I can't rev the engine.
When I drive it, there is little to no power on take off. Once I get to 25-30 mph its fine. It doesn't seem like the turbo's are kicking in.
There is no check engine light and no codes ( I have a scanner).
Any ideas before I take it to the dealer. Its a 2013 ecoboost with 46,000 miles

Not sure if your experiencing the same related issue that I had on my previous 12 Kia Optima 2.0T. I had the same no power issues as if the turbo wasn't kicking in, and it was a quick fix to the waste gate actuator adjustment at the dealer.

Took my truck to the dealer. It took them almost 8 hrs to diagnose the problem. It turned out to be a short in the PCM that controlled the throttle control. They said they have never heard of that happening. The good thing.........It was all covered under the powertrain warranty .

ffmike, were you getting all the other lights on your dash on as well? Abs, emergency brake, battery, temperature, ect? I'm being told it's the Transmission Molded Lead Frame. Which is located in the transmission pan.

The orange light was the only light that was on. You couldn't tell there was a problem until you pressed on the gas pedal. It would start off at a crawl and gradually pick up speed. I was able to drive it for a few days before it went into the dealer. Even when you stomped on the pedal it would crawl up to speed .
Hope this helps
