Opinions on weather it's worth getting the Sony/Nav Pkg??

Not hard at all. You just need to get the PAC harness for the integration. I went aftermarket with the pac harness and steering wheel module and I retained all of my factory sync options while adding a better functioning/sounding head unit. Here is a pic of mine
I use my phone for GPS, but a garmin unit would be 10x better than the factory nav. Just my opinion

What dash kit is that? Do you have a picture from further back please?

Evil. Big. Oil.
Another really subjective question, lol.
For me, the Nav made no sense...I have a "hook up" at Garmin, and I know the Garmin units work better. After that it's personal preference...I personally didn't like using the touch screen to run my radio and whatnot. I like the buttons and *****. The Nav screen seemed like a $2000 option that I did not need.
But that's just me personally, it does look really cool.
As far at the Sony stereo "upgrade"...for me this did make sense. I trade my trucks in every two years. So, I don't want to fiddle around with aftermarket stereos and whatnot. Plus I'm getting older and as long as my stereo sounds good inside the truck, I'm happy. Key word good...I like having a sub, I just don't need a pair of 12s, lol. (Side note, I used to do SPL competitions back in the day...I know how cool a pair of Kicker solo-barics sound. I'm not ignorant, just old, lol.)
So with those personal preferences in mind...I have the Sony stereo with the little sub, back-up camera in the rear view, and no Nav screen. I'm happy.

It is not worth the money at all because you can find better stuff at a fraction of the cost.
That being said, I LOVE having it in my truck and it is one of my favorite features.

Love mine!! Beets having to add all the stuff after and..for those people that hate the sound!! I'm not a sound system cone suer but, to me it sounds awesome!! I came from an XLT so if that says anything about the really crap stereo in the base trucks and...it's the nicest interior I've ever had in any vehicle. I feel like I'm driving a Benz with 4 wheel drive...to me the extra cost was worth it IMO. Luxury all the way!!

The only people who don't like it are people who don't have it.

You'll regret it when you don't opt for it. It adds a whole new level of features and simplicity, plus it makes the dash look so much more upscale. I regret it every time I drive dad's Limited. Voice commands for climate and radio, not just aux. Plus changing settings are so much easier. If I knew how much better it would've been we would've paid the premium for it. Damn
Additionally, It's a PAIN IN THE *** to try and mount a handheld GPS without it driving you insane, plus the factory Ford nav is pretty good, at least in the Focus. TOTALLY worth the money.
I'd be open to MyFordTouch where you don't have to get nav to get a touchscreen. Oh well.

When I bought my truck I had planned to get the Sony without nav and a sunroof, but ended up with one with the nav for only about $880 dollars more since there was a big discount for buying the roof and nav. Before this truck I had a 2010 without nav and never new what I was missing till I got the 2011 with nav. The nav function is just a small part of the package. It's everything else it does that makes it so awesome. Working the sync system is so much easier with the nav than with out it as well as the Bluetooth phone. The hard drive is also pretty sweet as I don't have to keep all my cd's in the truck and worry about fumbling through them. I won't even get into the travel link features. Anyways I am very glad I got the nav unit and would get it again

Mine is one of the things I love about my F-150 and I would certainly do it again. That being said, here are 3 problems I have about it:
Updates are $200, I think that's unreasonable.
There is no map update available for my 2012 VIN. It came with the most current version.
All of the business that I look up which moved 5 or 6 years ago are still shown at their old address.
So people who are paying $200 for an update are getting a 5 year old map. THAT'S REALLY UNREASONABLE!
