Opinion on Black exhaust.
I'm getting restless again to add something/anything....
I was thinking a black powder coated exhaust tip might be a nice addition.
Those that have bought them. How did it hold up? Was it worth it or just a waste of money?
As with everything, you get what you pay for. So is it worth spending the extra $40 bucks on the Flowmaster as an example vs the cheaper Rhino?
I don't have my heart set on buying it. I think with the blacked out look my truck has, it could look good or it could look cheesy. I don't want any cheese on my truck..

As far as looks I would go with the flowmaster or try to find one with a black clamp to go with the black pipe. You probably wouldn't see the clamp but I'm just OCD about little things like that especially if you're truck is already blacked out.

I think the black could look good. I also have a black out theme going and decided on turn down b/c I couldn't find a setup I was happy with as far as black tips go. I feel like I still see too much stainless.....

Our Thunderstorm kits offer a black tip side exit system (pictured below)
FRPP makes black rear and side exit systems. We happen to be a dealer for Ford Racing and both the FRPP and the Thunderstorm systems are very stout and durable systems. If you'd like more info feel free to PM us or give us a call!

Not sure why you think a black tip would be cheesy. It would only look bad if the tailpape behind it is unpainted. I have a 3.5" outlet black angled/rolled cut tip and love it. Put some wax on it to make it easy to clean. I painted my tailpipe before the tip black with high temp black paint as well since the rest of my exhaust is stock.

My wife bought me the 2016 Ford "square" polished Stainless exhaust tip for my black 2013 F150 FX4 and can honestly say that the shiny bling look did not go well with a black truck that has no chrome on it except the front and rear emblems.
The picture above is the Ford exhaust tip that I photographed while at a dealer but I have the same one on mine. It just didn't look right so I temporarily painted it in BBQ black along with the exhaust pipe all the way up to the muffler. Looks great now but currently do not have a photo. The paint on the exhaust tip is chipping from road crime hitting it but I only did temporarily to see how it looked black. I like it now and will take it back off and powder coat it Satin or Semi-black with just a hint of chrome at the very tip.

I don't think it looks cheesy at all. Better than chrome IMO. I plastidipped my tips (chrome Borla ATAK tips) to see how they'd look in black and have just been to lazy to tear it off and *permanently* paint them black. On a side note, I'm surprised the dip is still on there.....
If I can find the motivation this summer, I'll probably just use high-temp paint as others have done on the forum... or if you have yours powder coated by then, then maybe I might have to copy you!
