i did the inside of my CJ-7 with the rustoleum brand bedliner and while it looked good it was no where near as good as the line-x in my bed. i believe it called for 2 coats and i did 4 and still had some bits flaking off (like under the legs of the rear folding seat). i have learned it's well worth the money to have line-x professionally applied vs any diy liner kit. the line-x has a better texture, looks better, will last way longer and it is thick - super thick.

do yourself a favor and get the line-x. you will thank me later

I have to agree with the line-x comments but the two trucks stingray and kbrock posted are exceptions.

OP, I would pay a shop to paint the rockers and buy the flares online if it was mine. You have power steps so I can assume it's a limited or platinum truck (confimed in your sig). It would be sad to see it go south.

I would buff all of the white off first to see what is actually going on.

Going to stop by local body shop Monday for a quote just to compare prices.

It would be sad to see a beautiful high end truck with a possible horrible line-x job.

Where I'm from going south is slang for a bad situation.

A DIY kit has no where near the toughness of the pro job. It's OK on small things, but not on what you want to really show.

Also, I would think long and hard about spraying your power running boards. Mine power running boards have "grippy" surfaces. If you spray them, they will become very slippery. FYI

had my flares and rockers done in premium about a month after i got my truck. almost 5 years and 40k miles later they still look new. no paint chips or rust to worry about. i kinda questioned my decision at first but im glad i did it.

Good luck with your truck.
