I'm pretty picky too. For some reason it just doesn't look right with only 2 bars. Granted there probably isn't room to fit 3 or more bars in the hole.

I think that matches great, better than most other solutions I have seen. Where did you get it, or dud you fabricate it?

Default Lower grill insert

I been looking around but i want to keep it lookingl like the original factory grill. So i made my owen from aluminum. I hope to have some pics soon ,it's raining here. I bought a pc of aluminum 1-1/2'' x 1/4'' thick 6' long. Cut 3pcs 20-1/2'' long an atatched the to the plastic bumper gaurds. Powder coted them black to match the truck grill.

Agreed.
Got mine last night and installed it. (eBay $38.00)
While it looks MUCH better than the gaping hole, I think it would look even better black.
Probably going to get a quality can of satin black that will stick to the polished aluminum.

I was gonna get one a year ago but read here or somewhere else that they Restrict the air for the intercooler and make the EcoBoost over heat. Any truth to this??

Haha. I actually agree too about the 2 bars not looking quite right, but I just liked that it matched. That's why a whole new front end is in the works Not going to put it on until spring though

Do you have a ford part number for that? My dealer denies that ford would make that.

I bought my black lower grille from eBay ($35 + 10 s/h) on 10/10 and it was on my doorstep on 10/13. Installed it yesterday in 10 min with a perfect fit. The black blends into the lower bumper nicely. The ebay seller motors_zone says he has 10 more left.

I received and installed mine today. Took a little longer for me because I tried to follow the instructions. Mistake. Just install it like you think it should be installed. Looks better in person than in the pictures and certainly looks better than the big black hole that was there before. Thanks Sterlingone for the post.
