that looks more like a case of "watch this, bud! I'll meet you on the other side of the lake!"

And the ad reads. For sale 2013 f150 platinum. Very gently driven. Owned by and elderly couple. Very clean never off roaded. Come see for yourself not even a spec of dirt under the truck anywhere.

That kind of looks like it's got a 6'5 box, thought platinums didn't come with those.

Hah, could only imagine the "OH ****!" that went through the driver's head.

This is a huge problem for him. No tow truck is going to go out there and get it. Their vehicle insurance will not allow it. If anyone can be persuaded at all, it will be a privateer that will cost him and arm and a leg. If it goes through the ice, his insurance will not cover the vehicle. AND, he is going to get a multi-thousand dollar fine from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

Major mistake. Could wind up costing $40 to $50K in total.

Insurance will not cover the recovery of the vehicle but it will cover the vehicle.

Insurance has to cover the vehicle. No matter what stupid thing you do, your insurance co has to repair/replace the insured vehicle.

What about drag racing? I thought that was guaranteed no coverage? For example if you are at the track and crash?
