One complaint about my 2011 5.0

My wife had the oil changed at a lube shop and the guy who put on the oil filter must have overtightened it and stripped the threads on the filter. He was able to resnug it just enough to hold the oil in. This was fine when the engine was warm but after she sat overnight and the wife took the car out the next day all the oil blew out of her about a hundred yards down the road. I always check stuff like that after every service now.

It wasn't my 2011 F-150 that went to that lube shop. It was an older Sebring I owned. I still like to look things over afterwards even if I have my Ford dealer look at it. I'm just glad she was just up the street when it happened and not 50 miles up the road.

Unless I am stupid, I can't figure how to make the 1-6 show up forever on the instrument panel. This is one thing I really like. I would love to be able to turn off selective things that I am not interested in. Would like a dash like a pc that you could select things and move them around. In my opinion the dsah is WAY to busy on the F150.It is pretty though.I would alao like to kick the guy in the ***s that designed the sounds for the door open alarm thing.

From what I was told at the dealer Ford ships the F-150 down 1 liter of oil and its part of the PDI inspection that they put that extra liter of oil in for the customer. However he told me that sadly a lot of times this gets missed by the mechanics and the vehicle will leave low on oil but its still in the min mark on the dipstick so its not enough to give a warning because its still basically in the safe area. I can reach the dipstick no problem also but I just think its a very dumb location lol
