Sounds like your the on trying to start up a argument he just placed his opinion... I really don't care what motor were talking bout I love my 5.0 and the Eco boost will yank a house off its foundation... Ok maybe not literally but point made ... But I'll take my 5.0 as it suites me best

Then your buddies all need to get their EBs checked, because there's something wrong with them...
When you say y'all have "similar driving habits", does that mean you guys always drive together... ALWAYS? Didn't think so (hope not anyway). Unfortunately, the EB does produce a love affair with the right-hand pedal when the feel and sound of the boost affects your butt-dyno. Ya just gotta have more! So likely your buddies do a lot more amped-up driving than they're admitting to.
Really? We're going to stoop that low to get THAT petty?
Take a pill Al...

I've contemplated it from time to time but am a little busy for that. I'm in Coquitlam. Definitely enjoy the cheap fill ups quite thoroughly whenever I'm crossing the border for recreational purposes though!

Ya that's a bit out of your way. I live not even 10 mins from the border. But my damn passport expired so for now, I have to spend the $170 - $190 a tank. Plus the stupid bridge tolls.

Ford first timer.
2nd tank of gas, 87 octane, engine's not 'MPG' broken in till some say 5000-6000, I am getting 13L/100 km in town and 9.4 on the highway
Loving the boost !

Inebriated 4 ur safety
Then don't be offensive..... champ.
That last comment you made is what starts the EB vs 5.0 threads, and then the thread gets closed which is no benefit to the OP. No need to say that an EB or V6 is not appropriate in a truck to get your point across about fuel mileage. I always think it's funny how people purposely make off-topic offensive comments like that out of the blue, then wonder why people get defensive.

mileage definitley depends on where you live. It's flat in Alberta. Come to BC and watch your mileage drop. I get 12.8 L/100 km hwy thanks to the long steep grades I have to climb. 14.0 city

If this turns into a Eco vs 5.0 thread. I'm not going to be very happy.

Wow how do you guys get such good mileage out of your trucks? Lowest I've got mine is 15L/100km in the city.
Oh and I live in Surrey so the only place I fill up is across the border. Love saving money on fuel. Also love the cheaper beer! Always get myself a 6pack of tall boy's every time I fill up.
