Pshaw! If *I* had an EcoBoost, I'd be flooring it all over town and getting even worse gas mileage than I am now.

I feel your pain. I pay the same price and on top of that my commute to work is 55 kms each way. It works out to $90 a week in gas plus $20 for bridge tolls.

Just about 1.30/ltr around these parts. Luckily I live close enough to the border to get at least some of my fuel in NY. I tell you I DO NOT miss my 5.4 in my 08!

My 5.0 gets better mileage than all my buddy's EBs! Its so shocking! And we all have similar driving habits and drive in the same areas!!I was initially disappointed I didn't look into the EB when purchasing my truck. Not anymore!! Nonetheless the EB would be cool in an Escape or Focus or something where a V8 isn't too appropriate or appealing.

I didn't see 5.0 anywhere in the title or the OPs post so why did you feel the need to bring it up? Are you trying to start another EB vs 5.0 thread?

No I just thought I'd mention it since the poster didn't initially acknowledge the 5.0 as also being a viable option for someone looking for some enhanced fuel efficiency in a later model f150.

Not sure where in Vancouver you live but do you fill up across the border? It saves me $50 a tank. It costs $130 as opposed to $180. I live in Langley and work in west van. It sucks. My commute is 1.5 hours each way. Sometimes 2 hours coming home.

Then what was this about?

That has nothing to do with fuel economy or the thread.

Also, look at the Op's signature. Ford doesn't offer the 5.0L in the max tow package so.......
