Guy up the street has a 2010 FX2 5.4. Really nice truck, last I talked to him he had 132,000 km on it without one issue with the engine. As far as I know the rest of the truck has been solid for him other then routine stuff.

2010 5.4 with 62,000 miles on it.. put 16,000 just in the past year.. not one problem yet.. (knock on wood).. put a cold air intake and an edge evolution cts on it, and now it gets up and goes

Had 172,xxx on my '06 when I traded it in on my '08 F350. I always found it to be "ok", was definitely reliable. Only had one issue in its lifetime, one failed coilpack (which is common).

I've got 42k on my 09 FX4 with the 5.4 and have not had any issues with the engine. I just wish I wasn't constantly chasing down water leaks in the cab...

2010 Lariat, 81,xxx miles, haven't had any engine problems so far, still runs strong!

The 6 speed makes the 5.4 bearable, but with the '04-08 trucks it was a turd IMO.

Do the 09+ 5.4's still have spark plug issues or did they resolve that after 08?
