Default oil seperator for Eco Boost 3.6

I am trying to find out if an oil separator is necessary for a 3.5 Eco Boost engine. I have a 2012 F-150 platinum
thanks

yes as in catch can, usually run 3-400$ for the entire system, half that much for passenger side only. (which i don't understand)

Necessary? I wouldn't say so. IMO I would always get one if I had a boosted motor. I'd definitely get one if/when I get around to supercharging my 5.0. Why would you need one for both sides? I thought there was only one vacuum line coming from the engine to the intake?

Well I didn't really know what the difference would be, but that sounds reasonable, as I am new to all of this and just getting my hands dirty so to speak. thank you.

Not necessary but it can't hurt having one. I run one and the crud it catches is pretty nasty.

I don't have one, but from what I understand you only need to run it from one cylinder bank. The crankcase has passage ways leading to both cylinder heads, so I don't see any benefit using two catch cans. I don't even think there is a vacuum line coming from both cylinder heads. I believe my 5.0 only has one CVS line coming from the passenger bank.
