Used a white paper towel to soak up some and it was dark no red at all so I’m assuming oil not tranny fluid.

Got the 5.0 and the same thing happening. Whole driveway is messed with the oil. Today new gasket finally delivered. Waiting for a warmer day to (attempt to?) install it (front dif is on the way). Mine is definitely engine oil. At first I was debating if it's the RMS or pan gasket, but should've it be an RMS it would be dripping from the bell housing, but I have the oil gathering on the bell housing and also oil pan bolts (same as on the pictures from the OP). Don't think the oil could travel from the bell housing up onto the bolts. Also my truck is sitting on the driveway all the time (not using it now) and it keeps dripping. I guess when the engine is off the oil doesn't reach the RMS. Soo my bet is on the oil pan gasket. Also any suggestions/tips/hints/tricks for a pan gasket replacement are welcome

I'd bet sump gasket too, looks like engine oil and it's on the sump bolts, but just an FYI, the Mercon LV in the trans will go black before 10k miles, so you might not see red in it.

Got a question. The gasket installation instructions says the following:
"Apply an 8mm (0.31 in) bead of silicone sealant to the crankshaft rear seal retainer plate-to cylinder block sealing surfaces and the engine front cover-to-cylinder block sealing surfaces". So there are the natural "cracks" that needs to be siliconed first before putting the new gasket in place. My question is - what exactly 8mm bead of silicone means - 8mm thick or thin but 8mm in width? Cracks shown on the diagram below (courtesy of Ford). I afraid if I make it 8mm thick - the gasket won't be able to "hug" it without a leaks.

Just me, but I would wait 5000 miles and see if engine oil looks lower than normal, put some cardboard or a pan under it to keep driveway clean.

Its winter, car repairs suk.

Buy the looks of the pics I think its oil. Looks there is oil on some of the pan gasket bolts. I'd say it's the oil pan gasket
