Oil filter Relocation
Has anyone found an oil filter relocation kit for the ecoboost yet? Might have to piece the parts together at this time, but was hoping for a kit. any help appreciated!

The oil filter location on the ecoboost engine is just stupid. The oil from the filter always gets on the differential and the steering rack and wiring harness no matter how careful you are.Dont believe it?Take off the metal shield and watch where the oil goes next time you change your filter.I spend more time cleaning than actually changing the filter.I hope they redesign this soon.

Keepin' the lights on!
I haven't seen any kits yet but I'd sure be interested in one. In the meantime, I'm going to try using a cheap pie tin with some oil absorb pads. Coming up on the second oil change so I will try that out. Also got a Fumoto drain valve to install.

Remote oil filter
Canton products has one, even the local parts houses can get you one. Put one on my last truck (Toyota Tundra), worked great. Filter change in about 2 minutes, no spills, no jacks, no ramps. Used to change filters every 5k, and oil (full synthetic) every 10k. That truck is still going strong at 150+k miles with zero oil consumption. When I do it on my 5.0, I'll invest in some good an fittings and lines.

Where would you put it? Sounds intriguing. I put a skid plate on mine and its harder to get at now, not impossible though.
