Default Oil Filter Change Question

So whats the secret to taking off the oil filter on a 5.0 with out it dripping all over Gods creation because of that idiotic design. 2014 and it has a drip rail towards the front of the truck and another going towards the back so oil can drain down. Thing s is you cant wipe the back rail down very good and it continues to drip. What great solutions has anyone come up with. Thanks.

Lightbulb

  • large piece of cardboard under the oil change area.
  • silicone (or brake cleaner) spray.
