Default Oil change access plates and plastics 2011..

Whatever dipsh!t who changed oil on this truck threw away the access panels on the bottom of the truck and the plastic pieces you have to remove to change oil are missing as well.. IDIOTS... Anyone know the part numbers? I have teh larger square metal piece but missing the two smaller ones that twist in and ALL of the plastic pieces that need to be removed for an oil change are gone.. the hole damn panel..

Ford chucked mine when I went in for an oil change. I thought about making a stink about it and I still may since I expect them to be put back on afterwards.

I recommend installing a Fumoto oil plug drain valve. Makes the job so simple and clean. You just run a 3/8 inch plastic hose from the valve to your oil pan, open the valve and let it drain. For the filter, I put a shop towel under the oil filter when I unscrew it to catch oil.

Wait, there are supposed to be plastic pieces on the bottom of our trucks? Lol. I never knew. 116,000 miles and I never even thought of that.

I will say though that the oil drain tray that is supposed to direct oil toward the front bumper so you can catch it easily is a poor design. Oil always seems to go all over the crossmember anyway. At least those areas won't rust later.

Changing oil was a nightmare on this truck.. im still leaking crap out where the filter caused a huge mess when removing. I had the truck level but did not seem to matter. horrible horrible design. Next time I am taking it somewhere to get it changed.

I don't like the filter but it drains where its supposed to, as long as the truck is level. I just wipe the tray after.

If oil is going towards the bumper, that's messed up. It should drain right through the skid plate whole where the useless plugs OP wants are.

lol thx.. useless as they may be.. they should have been in there as it came from the fatory.. My garage is 100% level.. it did not drain as it should have. I did a lot of reading and found multiple ppl with the same issue. Doesn't matter now as its done.. I will have my buddies shop do the change next time so any oil will leak out from that bottom tray area on the drive home.
