Offset and backspacing advice
I plan to order 20x9 XD Spys for my truck, anyone have any advice for me about what offset and backspacing I should order? I don't want them to stick too far out from the fender and I plan to put 305/55/20 tires on there
thanks

If you want to see what your size tire looks like on 20X9 +18, look in my garage or pics. If you want it to be flush with those tires you may want to go with +30 for offset. Mine stick out about 3/4 to 1.25" from the fender.

This might be a stupid question, but does the offset work different for every wheel?
anyone have any pics with an offset that tucks them more in under the fender

Here's a good article on offset / backspacing.
http://www.truckinweb.com/tech/suspe...set/index.html
Basically, the specs have to be such to prevent rubbing, etc. Tire Rack also has a good database of wheels with the recommended offset for the F150. So, if you use their site to search for your vehicle you can see what would be required for different wheels.
Good luck.
