2011 F150 Platinum.

I picked up the Ford mud guards at the dealer today and plan to install them tomorrow.

There are no instructions of course.

It looks deceptively simple ?

Remove the three plastic push pins from the wheel well that holds the lip on, put the guard in place, and put the push pins back in?

That does not seem particularly secure to me...

Any trick to getting the pins out?

I'm on my iPad so forgive the brevity.

Thanks

I did this last week, it's fairly simple. Getting the pins out is the toughest part. I used a flat head screw driver and needle nose pliers.

The kit should have come with metal clips and screws which replace the plastic pins. Clips go around the frame and screws fasten everything back together.

Plastic pins do go at the bottom for the front ones, one on each side. The rest are all the clips and supplied screws.

Ok, so you do have to drill holes?

I may go with the no-drill weathertechs instead if that's the case...

I'll be honest, between installing mine and washing my truck, it took me all day. They were not as easy as I thought they would be. They also didn't come with the right amount of parts.

No drilling required with mine. Plus there where enough parts. It is a simple job. Like the 2nd post states a flat head screwdriver and a needle nose pliers will do the job. Just be careful with the screw driver. Don't want to scratch the truck. Good luck.

All the holes are there, no drilling.

I put on all four in about 30 minutes, of course I have a special tool to pull the pins so those only take a second. No drilling or anything. Only complaint the lines dont exactly match the truck or how far the factory tires stick out.
