Off road lights (preferably lightforce) and 2013's
So I have 4 halogen lightforce lights on my new 2013 fx4.....(2-140 & 2-170)
On my 03 ram I have ipf's - great light
On my 10 ram I had two 170 striker lightforce lights...no filter other than clear that came with it....they were amazing....
Questions:
-lightforce cuts support said to get combo filters for two middle 170s and leave outside 140s as regular....so I did....
- unless I need to dial more combos have very poor distance....
- anyone else agree/ disagree
- should they have been on outside 140 instead?
Also....
These new 2013 lights are amazing...such that my 4 driving lights are not that noticeable....I was expecting wow!!!!!
- maybe if I went with the blue clarity filters I would be better off...the clear filters with these new lights do not go together nicely at all......
- anyone have feedback, experience on blue filters.....
- blue and our new 2013 light color?
Many thanks!

Nice truck! Almost identical to mine. Sorry I can't help, but was just wondering if you came up with a solution? I plan on putting 4 170's on my 13 FX4, the outside two I was gonna do wide lenses and the inside leave as spots. On my Ranger I had 2 170's with the combo lenses and they were awesome, but it took away from the distance that is lit up. Here is a pic of my truck (no lights yet)

Are the Lightforce lights no longer adjustable??? (crank the adjuster on the back to adjust between spot and wider angle)
I want the 170s to replace the pair of (very dismal) Rigid 6" combos I have installed.

Nice truck and lic plate gibby.
I went 170 in middle with clear and combo and 140 angles out for ditches. Clear.
Yes you can adjust a bit. My 140 cracked and not sure if i tightened in too much but now need to buy a new outer piece.
Anyone try the blue filters. I am planning goin back to non combo on 170's. Spread light but lost distance. But also am finding the color of light vs the 13 stick lights are in conflict. Lightforce clear are more yellowish stock ford are bluish.
Thoughts?

The stock ford are 4300k or off white, the light force lights are more yellow creating the impression that the stocks are blue, i drive for a living and i can tell you that blue lights is the last thing you want, 4300k is the optimum temp for most people,by putting filters on you are actually reducing the light output
