Where did you folks run your wires? How did you do it? I've never done this before and have no idea where to go through the firewall nor do I know how to snake the wire through - do you attach it to something solid (like a piece of a coat hanger) and push it through? Sorry in advance for the newb question! Just would like to try to do this myself without paying anyone...
I ran the wire through the driver side firewall. If you open the hood and look on the driver side, you'll see a rubber grommet with a thick/bunch of wires going in. I popped it off and ran my wires, one for the switch's ground and one for the remote from the relay to the switch. It was easy to access under the steering column next to the brake pedal. I then ran my switch up to the steering column. For the switch's power cable, I fished it behind the bottom of the middle dash with a braided wire (the ones that are used for the garage doors and can also be found for bike locks) and passed my cable through the passengers side. I got the tap-a-fuse from O'rielys Auto parts and used slot 37. Tap-a-fuse saved the day, it came with a number 10 (which is in the 37 slot) and a few more. For the tap-a-fuse it needs two fuses in it, the bottom slot needs the 10 (provided) and I used a 7.5 from the kit. I then plugged it in and it all worked. The only thing is that the fuse door would not fit back on, so I left it off and put the foot well panel back on. No one will ever notice it.

To those of you who have purchased the OTRATTW switches... which color did you get?

I have a FX4 with the red gauges but the rest of the lighting is the cool blue color. I would prefer to get the blue, as that would match best in the location between the steering wheel and dimmer control (my anticipated install location). BUT, I certainly do not want the lights on the switches to be blinding bright and I think the red would better suit that need.

Any suggestions?

Good idea! I have that exact switch panel out of a F350. I see if it'll look good!

Here's mine. I need to redo the panel and the wiring as it's a bit sloppy. This is also an old pic as I have a few more switches now and more to go.

So, here's what I started with:

There was a gap on the left side next to the coin tray, and It didn't fit as nice as I'd like. So, once I found out I could drop the whole coin tray, I started planning a cleaner solution. I bought a 6 switch holder and some extra switches (As posted earlier) and started shaping some lexan last night.

After a ton of test fitting, I came to something I liked:

The ambient lighting switches sits a little higher than I'd like, but overall I think it'll look great. Laid a few coats of paint on it last night. Once I rig up my harness to run it all, I'll be throwing it in, hopefully this coming weekend when I get on Turnaround. It may be a little harder to secure it since I removed the coint tray, but if all comes to all a few small dabs of epoxy will do the trick. I'll post some more pictures in this thread when I go to install them.

^^ That's awesome! I plan on doing something similar to your original setup. Still drop the tray, but have a voltmeter on one side, and switches on the other And I don't have the ambient lighting switches to worry about either, so that helps
