Hopefully folks don't think I'm worked up over mats. Just sharing my experience for folks contemplating the purchase. I think the poster who made fun of me for talking about the Weathertech badge falling off probably didn't read my other posts about the real issues I had.

So just to summarize:

This was my exact experience. These are facts, devoid of emotion.
  • I paid $400 + shipping for 3 rows of WT liners + cargo mat for wife's Yukon XL. I ordered direct from WT.
  • It took 3+ weeks for them arrive
  • When they arrived half the order was black, half was gray
  • Had to return the gray ones, and wait another 2 weeks for the rest of the black
  • Liners were creased in the box when they arrived; creases not easy to get out.
  • Liners in the rear are a bad design because the tall lips at the door and between the 2nd row captains chairs present a tripping hazard
  • Liners slide around in the Yukon (can't speak for F150) which caused the front ones to bend at kickplate; they won't go back to normal shape. This was after one winter season of use (I don't use them in the summer).
  • I contacted WT and provided pics of the issues/damage. I hoped they would honor their warranty (full replacement), but they declined and offered me only 1/2 refund, not including shipping (I'm still scratching my head over this... based on WT's insane profit margin, I'm pretty sure new mats would have been cheaper and made me happier).
  • After 2nd season of use, the WT label on the driver's mat fall off.
  • I still own the mats but I stopped using them after winter season #2.
  • I've bought three new cars since the Yukon XL... none of them got Weathertechs.

I'm glad to hear that other people like them. But based on my personal experience with both the product and the company, you can't really blame me for saying "never again." YMMV.

Seems to be a good fit and heavy duty, other than the side lip on door jam is a great mat, fits good. I only wish Weathertech made a good thick mat that would color match. Weather techs are ok but very thin and light. Beef them up and it would be a great mat. JMHO!!
Exactly 100% correct. Someone did exactly that and they are called aries. They don't make the rear one the same as weathertech unfortunately, but fronts identical. Like I said if you see both its not even a question or a debate, its a fact, lol!

I'm hardly worked up, I just have a smartphone and lots of free time. My facts are undeniable.

Since the OP speaks about OEM mats as well, I should add that I installed mine last night (see pics below). I only post this to provide the counterpoint. As always, YMMV.

My initial thoughts are:
  • Nice, heavy duty rubber (not plastic)
  • Grooves look great and combined with the heavy duty rubber they provide great traction
  • OEM look is great. I'd rather have subtle F-150 logo on the mats than a plastic Weathertech logo held on by cheap glue.
  • Coverage provided by the rear mat is fantastic. It covers from door to door, and goes way back under the seats (both front and rear).
  • Coverage could be better on the front mats... wish they went up a little higher.
  • Rubber nubs on the underside hold them in place.
  • Drivers side mat "clicks" into both anchor points.
  • No need to cut out an piece for the sub. Ford makes a set for both sub or non-sub models.
  • Price was $70 shipped! That's less than 1/3 what the WT's cost.

you got the black on black and such looks good. I like the rear one myself and left it there because it is heavy duty, good coverage and durable. The things I didn't like (other than being black) is it doesn't offer any protection for the side carpet/door jam and it doesn't go up far under the pedals,. this is where the weathertech has it over the Ford mat. Keeps it from getting dirty, will be huge plus in the winter/rainy seasons.

Yeah... you are spot on. The OEM coverage is not as good as some of the aftermarket liners. It's all trade offs, I suppose.

That's why I only went with the weathertechs for the fronts (higher traffic area), were a digital fit and really keeps the carpet clean and left the Ford mat in the back. The best of both worlds!!

I love my Weather Tech digital fit. They were $200.00 for the front and back. I bought the front first because of my job in construction but ended up getting the back about a month later due to going fishing about twice a month and the water and sand going everywhere. They fit great and lock in place on the driver side. The back does have a lip but stuff does end up next to the door sill because of the way they are molded. I would by them again though as they are easy to take out wash off and put back in.

Unless you own a Scab than the Weathertechs are way better than the factory mats. The rear Weathertechs liners for the Scab wrap around the flow through console and fit tight against the rear seat brackets so they don't slide around at all.

Yea that looks much better fit than the super crew for sure. Crew cab super duty is the worst rear weathertech I've ever seen, it sucked in my 150 but it was better than the super crew by a mile!
