Default OEM remote start cost?

I got the OEM remote start, put it in and it's all ready to go. I just need ford to cut the new keys (which I have) and program the computer to recognize the remote start. My question is how much should it cost for ford to do that? I have seen people say 80-100ish from ford but my dealer said 130. I feel that's way too high...

I paid 45.00 to have the keys cut, programmed, and the R.S. enabled by a IDS!

But, it Varies dealer to dealer! Most likely once you explain, what needs to be done and that it takes about 15 mins. They should realize, they overcharging!

Don't have the dealer cut the key. Any locksmith can cut the key. I went to an Ace hardware I've never been in and they cut it for free. The dealer is going to be the most expensive. Cutting that key is no different then any other key.

They are not suppose to charge more than a 1/2 hour labor rate to turn the R.S. on with the IDS.

I had the key cut at Home Depot for free and I programmed it to the truck. Checked around a couple different dealerships about getting it enabled. The first one quoted $90. Ended up going to the second one for $45.

I went to Lowes to try and have them cut the key, and they said they wouldn't do it for some reason. I went to my dealer, they charged $100 to cut the key, program it, activate using the IDS, and test it a few times to make sure everything worked as expected.

Granted the price was higher than I would have liked to pay, but they did take longer than needed because they wanted to verify it was installed properly as I did it myself.

My dealer charged $50 to activate the remote start, as they said it was an accessory charge. Same fee as programming a key.
