Default OEM Navigation installed in my 2012 F150

So I decided to go the pricey route and got a Ford OEM unit from this site:

The pictures on the page are of my installed radio in my truck. Everything works perfect! Here are some pics for ya all. My truck has the Sony sound system also. Sounds extremely better than before!

Factory antenna is on the roof. My truck had SiriusXM before I installed the radio. The GPS and Sirius antenna are one in the same now on Fords. The radio came with a GPS/Sirius antenna splitter.

Which vehicles is that the OEM Nav for? Expedition or something? Cause it's not the F-150 2009-2012 Nav screen and controls. Just curious...

This is what I know to be the 2009-2012 Nav setup

Yes you are correct. These units are factory "pull outs" from vehicles that were wrecked, sent overseas, etc. Ford Nav units only work here. The real Nav up to 2013 is the same as my new unit, only the screen is a full 8 inch and the buttons are located below the screen.

Ya they are removed from vehicles like the older Edge, F-250, Expedition, etc etc. But software is current up to the 2013 vehicles.

Did you previously have dual air control? If not how did you over come that?

Yes my truck had dual air control. Its an FX4 with appearance package. The temps are still displayed on the top display screen. It still functions like normal. The retrofitted Nav unit does not give me climate control thru touch screen. (bummer) but oh well.

If anyone else is interested in going this route, I can answer a lot of questions and explain some things you may have to do. The tech support from the selling company is awesome as well.

Looks good, what did it run yah? Only thing odd looking is how it doesn't sit flush against the bezel!
