Default OEM Navigation Install - Dead Horse Beatdown

So I've recently joined these forums and so far have done nothing but search - especially considering this topic has been covered for years.

Here's my findings:

No one has actually installed the 8" OEM Nav unit - I've only seen the smaller 6" OEM screen installed.

If I were willing to pay ~$1,500 for the 8" OEM unit, including all necessary harnesses etc... would someone be able to put me in contact with anyone that has all of this?

Because this topic has been so extensively covered, it's actually kind of difficult to find specific information.

My truck - 2010 F150 Lariat w/ Factory Emblem Reverse Cam & Sony Stereo

Thanks in advance.

I've been looking into this as well. I found these guys and they seem to be pretty much plug and play. Give them your vin and let them know if it has a Sony sound system. They seem to have everything required to do it. It is a little pricey though and that is why I haven't done it yet myself. The center console bezel I found was cheaper via Amazon if you don't want the plain black bezel as I have the light simulated wood bezel.

Only issue with them is they do not offer the 8" screen install...

If I have to go that route, I would rather just go aftermarket.

You could always get the Advent nav radio. Its a 8 inch touchscreen, if you must have 8, and goes for 1199.99 I believe. Many on here have added this and like it.

Your best bet is a Alpine 8" tochscreen nav, or kenwood 7" touchscreen nav. Both do all the oem does and More....

Just some suggestions....

There is a post on another forum i found, I started doing this its not easy... from my understanding 2009-2012 8" units are very similar. My issues is I didn't have sony sound, I had the unit up and running fine but no sound. In the post he did it on his 2011 lariat with factory sony sound and climate, and goes over everything you need to do it. If you google "Swap OEM radio for OEM Nav" should help you out. I know I started reading over the mustang forums as they use a similar unit. found a ton of info on there

Wow. Would you happen to have a parts list as well?

For the most part. I can throw everything together for you. Do you have dual climate?
