Me too. I've done a moderate amount of research and haven't found a fix other than replacement. I have an ESP and just added this to the (relatively short) list of problems I'll present to the service manager when I take it in.

What's the mileage and year of your truck, whitemb? It's definitely a good idea to mention this to the service manager; keep us posted!

My 2013 is having the same problem on the driver side stuck on High Beam, I have 58,000 miles so out of warranty. Ill have to try the tapping on the lens part and see if the lens comes down. But not really a fix.

My passenger side did that over the weekend with a freeze we had and I too am out of warranty.

The solution I had was my wife take it in to the local dealership wearing some tight clothing to see if they would help her. Well it worked. They fixed it for free and "waived" the $120 fee to just look at it.

I just wont be using my high beams any more in case it happens again.

I should've had my wife take my truck in to be repaired too, that was good thinking! :-)

i fixed mine but I don't really know how! I removed the headlight from the truck, fiddled around with it for a bit then put it back in truck because I couldn't see anything obvious wrong with it and some how it was working. I too will avoid using my high beams :-(

I have no problems to date with my '14 but I notice that when the lights are first turned on (sometimes on auto when key is turned to on/start) they are on high beam and immediately switch to low beam. So I consider that the shutter is cycled/exercised regularly and it would be useless to not use high beams.

I've had this exact same issue for the past year or so. It happens more often when the weather is cold, but it is pretty random. (And by cold, I mean in the 40s, so not really that cold). It started to stick on high beams on just one side, but then both started to behave the same way.

This is definitely not a wear and tear item. It's not the bulb that's malfunctioning, it's the shield on the projector itself that's either getting stuck or the solenoid is not getting de-energized to allow the shield to return to original position. Sounds like this could be a more common problem than it seems.

I think the projector itself sucks, performance wise, so I'm contemplating on using this malfunction as an excuse to swap out the projectors for some EvoXR projectors and higher power ballasts.
