Default OEM Bed Mat, Awesome

Just put it in and thought that it actually looked pretty good.

Not to sound like an idiot, but isn't the bed already sprayed with a liner?

There is nothing wrong with a little extra protection. I think it looks damn good and I'm not just saying that because I have it myself...

I've been thinking about getting the OEM bed mat eventually, for added protection and to make the bed more comfortable to sit or lay down when hanging out. How much did you get it for?

I like it. I think ultimately it's exactly what I want to do with my truck... spray-in liner WITH the bed mat. The spray would protect the metal and the mat would protect the spray-in. If that sounds ****, here's why I would do it. When we started looking for a truck, I went by a non-Ford dealer and looked at what they had to offer. One truck we looked at was a 09 with a spray-in liner. The previous owner had dropped a sack of cement or maybe paint... I don't know but the bed looked trashed. The sales guy thought it was no big deal (of course) but to me it aged the truck by about 10 years or more. How do you clean a spray-in when it gets stained that bad by a light color of some sort? I could be wrong but I don't think you can other than to perhaps spray a new coat over the old. So I'm all for a way to protect the spray-in but that's just me. A trashy spray-in liner in my opinion cuts the trade-in value. At least I was unwilling to consider that 09 at what that dealer wanted. There may be other guys who wouldn't care because they are going to use the truck as a full-time work horse anyway. But it mattered to me.

I have both, to keep items from sliding around and it easier on the knees.

Bought it on eBay from a Ford dealer for about $100.

To me, the bed mat is needed so that things do not slide around, regardless of whether one has a liner or not. I think it is a great bang for the buck mod.

That's exactly why I have mine, I own a business and I need to lug around delicate items at times and the mat helps keeping them from getting scratched.

I too have the OEM bed mat but I don't have a spray in liner. Mine was $91 from the dealer and I really like it. After a while if I have too many scratches in the wheel area or the walls I will just have it sprayed.

One thing though is that I wish it came with or they had the tailgate mat available. I don't see that they even make an OEM one.

Anyone have a suggestion on a tailgate only mat?
