I wish I had found a smoking deal like yours. Instead, I found a set of chrome HID housings from a 14 platinum that the high beam solenoid went kaput on both sides. $200 for that. Bought a mystery box from one of the admins in my Alberta F150 group and scored an FX-R retro kit for $100, and it had some halos and panamera shrouds I'm not going to use. Talking with the local retrofitter in Calgary here and I'm trading the FX-R's for EvoX-R's, shrouds for bulbs, and halos for an H13 motocontrol. So we're about the same point price wise after you buy another harness. Also, try Essk Customs for a quality Canadian alternative. Harness is only $60

H13/9008 harness was $45 at PROLiGHTZ.com plus 4 9006 sockets $77 shipped to my door CDN.

Awesome score. The only bad thing about these lights is the upper mounts are cracked. I'm wondering if I can cut the mounts off my old halogens and find some bad *** epoxy that will work for me to mount the good pieces back to the housing.

So for $225 I've got kick *** HIDs lol I feel good just lot of effing around trying to get them sorted out properly.

...
EssK is $60 + $12 shipping 2-3 day to my door. and it's plug and play to the components I have already. To each their own.

That would certainly work.

I feel you for effing around. My retrofitter friend is dicking around saying it'll take x long for the stuff to arrive, wait until said date, oh ****, I didn't order it. Granted, it's a straight trade and I'm ending out on top, I'll be patient for now as I don't have the funds to buy them myself right now

I would try plastic welding first.

Take note though, the option to have them changed is only available on the 13's and 14's. Any other year and you'll have to just turn the DRL off and wire something in to accessory power.

The option to change them WILL BE IN THE SAME DIRECTORY as turning them off. 3 options - OFF, LOW BEAM, and MARKER iirc

Ya mine is a 2011 and I'm not willing to cut and re wire just for them to be off. I don't mind them being on low beam in gear.

Well got the motocontrol harness H13/9008 and my 4 socket pigtails for 9006 connectors. Got them wired into the headlight I used the oem 4pin connector and ran my 4 new wires through those after I took the pins out.

Tested and work awesome just have to adjust them later tonight while my kid is at Karate it's a perfect place to test nice flat ground.

Overall the housings aren't the best the passenger one could use a Polish. Hopefully they are water tight I'll get output shots tonight after aiming them.

So far I've got them aimed at 39.5" @ 25'.

Not sure what height most people are going. I went this high due to my 4" lift. Center of headlight minus 5".

All I can say I wow. I understand the hype. Man these are awesome!

*1 question is the Z step normal on most projectors on low beam? Might take some getting used too.
