Default Odd smell coming from vents with heat on

Hello all, I have a 2012 FX4 SCAB with around 81,000 miles. I've noticed over the past few weeks that on my way home from work, about halfway home, my heat vents will produce an odd, stagnant smell when the blower is on. Anyone had this happen before? Remidies? TIA

Lysol the vents along with running them on high to clear it out will help.

Basically condensation builds up and mold can form. You have to blow out the vents to prevent this. Happens more when the AC is on.

i get the exact same thing.. never tried the lysol thing.. read about it months ago.. but here in texas it is worse during the winter time and i gather its from running the AC in the winter and condensation turns to mold and mold turn to the musty scent. anyways.. i just blasted my truck with Lysol from the outside vent. hopefully it helps.

Right from their website that I linked or other approved vendors across the country.

If you purchase direct form them, use a coupon code to get 15% off. One of them off the top of my head is RPPRODUCTIONS.

No worries

Whats great about this stuff is how it can eliminate odors from the HVAC system. Adam explains in the video that you turn your fan to high and recirculate. You spray it under the dash in the vent that takes the air from the cabin and recirculates it back into the car. This goes through the HVAC ducts and hits everything in there. Close the doors and let it run for a few minutes.

Helped removed mold smell in a 1998 Volvo that I had. I couldn't get it out with anything else.
