Default TCS kicks on in turns?

Sorry if this has been brought up before, but ever since I put 33" tires on, my TCS applies the brakes all crazy when I do a relatively sharp turn, usually freeway onramps, which is kind of scary and probably annoys people behind me as it REALLY slows the truck down. Im sure it has to do with the bigger tires throwing something off in the computer somewhere.....I have a bullydog GT tuner that I adjusted so the speedo is close (about 3mph off currently at 70mph) but it still has this problem and I have tried several different tire size settings. I also have 4.10 gears, stock were 3.55. There is no gear ratio change avail on the bullydog.

The bullydog is wierd, its actually set to 28.50" tires, if I put in 33" the speedo is WAY off (probably due to the gear change, so I have to compensate for that on tire size input). Any ideas? Havent seen this brought up before but maybe I missed it.

TSC is WAD (WorkingAsDesigned).

Until you get your tire-size / gearing in-line you're gonna have the issue(s) you described.

BTW ... You don't indicate 4X4, but if that's the case you will also need to upgrade/change the front transfer case gearing.

THOUGHT: Turn-off TCS. *The how-to is in your owner's manual.

Don't have one ?

2wd.

Kind of annoying to turn off tcs every time i drive it. But yes that does work but its a band aid not a fix.

And how would you suggest I get the gearing/tire size set? GT doesnt do it like i said, already tried a edge tuner, didnt work on my truck at all had to return it.

There is a sensor in the steering column that is/goes bad. This happened to me and I had the same symptoms... Replaced the steering column sensor and all has been normal ever since...

EDIT: Read OPs post again and yes there is another TSB for faulty TSC/ABS sensors in the wheels JLonsinger will have the correct TSB post cause I cant find it....

You don't need to change yourgears ior any of that. There is a tsb for this problem, I'll post it when I get home.

My SCT tuner has an option for different gears and tires. The computer needs to know the correct tire size and gear ratio. Guessing will not give the best results, as you already have found out. I would get a different brand tuner.

My SCT didn't do it. Here is the TSB, print it out and take it to the dealer service department. Now don't forget this hasn't worked on every single truck it's been done to (hundreds) but it has worked the majority of them.
