every time I have bought Silverstars they've been toast in less than a year, including on my last F150. and before someone says it - no, I'm not touching the glass when I install them. they seem like a huge waste of money to me.

Lots of rave about the Morimoto XB LED fogs. I'm actually waiting for mine.

Agreed...SS's lasted about 12-14 months for me on average. Stopped using them in my '06 for Philips Xtremes. As for fogs, don't waste time on fancy bulbs but pick up a 9145 instead of the 9140 as the 9145 is 5watts hotter and won't melt the housing (unlike the 9005/9006 people sometimes use). Halogen is halogen though and the lighting performance can leave lots to be desired. Proper HIDs projector heads and Morimoto XBs would be a good way to go...or Rigid DOT Duallys for fog lights.

If you're changing all the bulbs, I'd say now is a good time to convert to LED. There's a few threads here reviewing some different brands.

lol awesome,

looks like a new development housing. Someone better address that flooding problem unless the drain is covered.

Thanks for all the replies.

The drain was covered where they were building (I guess to keep bigger items from getting in the system)

I've found that once the first bulb goes out it's only a matter of time until the others go out too. It's just piece of mind to replace them all at once.

I purchased the following:
Amazon.com: Putco 250010W Optic 360 H10 High Power LED Fog Lamp Bulb - Pack of 2: Automotive Amazon.com: Putco 250010W Optic 360 H10 High Power LED Fog Lamp Bulb - Pack of 2: Automotive

Amazon.com: Putco 230013NB Pure Halogen Headlight Bulb - Nitro Blue - H13 (Pair): Automotive Amazon.com: Putco 230013NB Pure Halogen Headlight Bulb - Nitro Blue - H13 (Pair): Automotive

I've read some decent reviews of the, so I hope they work out. If not, I guess I'm just out the money and will have to go a different route.

I highly recommend against the LED bulbs. I had the putcos in the fogs and while pretty, they were completely useless. less light, less distance, and odd pattern.

Not familiar with putco's headlight bulbs but have had fairly good luck with sylvania ultra.

Fogs, just get stock replacement bulbs or make the jump to either the morimoto LED housings or projector HIDs.

Thanks for the heads up. They are already on the way here, so I guess I'll give them a shot. Based on your description, they will get returned and I will have to pay the "stupid tax".

meh, it's perception. Some people still claimed it was better and for a while I drank the koolaid. They do look better, just don't work better in actual practice.
