Is it just the Kranks that are affected? I'm going to be buying Fuel Throttle's very soon and this makes me question my decision on wheels.

Yes it does. The problem is, you can't get away from things made in China anymore. The good news is that the quality of most products made in China are getting better and better. For example, most, if not all, Apple mobile devices are made in China.

When I ordered the MHT Fuel wheels, the corporate address was CA, USA. I just ASSumed the wheels were manufactured there as well. I was a little disappointed when the wheels showed up and I saw a small "Made in China" label. The wheels looked great but the hidden parts were a bit rough. Overall, the wheels are well made for the price.

It seems like it's isolated to the 20" Kranks.

I saw a set of Throttles on a F150 this weekend and they looked awesome. It seems that pics of the Fuel black wheels don't look nearly as good in pics than in person. I also saw a set of Boost wheels on a Jeep and they looked really nice too.

Well now that explains why they are so cheap, made in china. My 16x9 kerscher wheels for my jetta were made in germany and cost more than twice as much per wheel than the fuel krank in 20x9. I guess it's true when people say you get what you pay for. 6 years I had those wheels, not a single blemish/imperfection.

I hope this issue gets resolved! Fuel krank are the wheels I'm getting.

uh boy

sorry i found this thread.... ive been eyeballin some throttles for my new FX4 with appearance package

several disappointing points I see

- the "blemishes" are unacceptable
- MHT not readily admitting the issue and correcting it immediately is totally inexcuseable
- made in China

Update. Brad at MHT told me two months ago a new batch was being made and he would update me. Every two weeks I send him a reminder and he says they are on the slow boat from china. Today he assured me 160 wheels are due in at the end of the month. I will have to wait and see if these are also blemished as he does not know what the quality will be. If they are blemished like the others I will be working with my dealer to get a partial refund as I no longer have my stock wheels to put back on to get a full refund. I am hoping the new ones are unblemished as they should be.

It's like I tell my wife when were eating and she sends her plate back for being dissatisfied "man I'm glad I'm not Picky" While I get these are "new" and should be "perfect" at the end of the day these are going to be wrapped in a set of mud terrains or at a very least a all terrain etc. what's not to say they won't ever get beat up while going "off road" like these wheels are geared towards? Again I get the " I paid for them I can beat them to hell I don't need them coming to me screwed up etc." but come on men we got trucks and chicks dig scars so chalk it up to some scaring and move on.... just my .02 but then again... " i'm glad i'm not picky" *puts on flame suit*

Really? Point is i did not pay for blemished wheels. Look at the pics. That is hardly picky. If your new truck was delivered blemished would you just say "oh we'll it's a truck and it will get scratched eventually"? I think not. Granted these are not $500/each wheels but still at $225 each I would expect them to be in better condition than they were "new". Of course over time they will get dinged and scratched but they should not be marred up brand new out of the box. Every spoke on every wheel has marks like the pics in first post. unacceptable

wow.... well you got one part correct

new is new and should be in new condition and I for one am sick of buying things only to find them in sub par condition. Im not just referring to truck parts. It seems like everything I buy nowadays comes with something wrong with it.

Were not just talking about a $10-20 meal this is a $1000 set of wheels.

If your meal showed up partially pre-chewed I doubt youd accept it and tell yourself at the end of the day it was going to get chewed anyway lol

I agree, the aftermarket quality control is crap, I understand that to make a profit these days you need to make it off shore, but really every time I buy something for my old mopar I'm disappointed by the utter crappiness of cheap Chinese made junk.
