Seems like it would be easier to wire the mirrors to fold when the truck is off and un-fold when the truck is running.

I agree, I'd like to do this mod as well however have the mirrors fold and unfold with the use of the intuition key.

Dang man! where is call texas at? i might be able to snag some stuff from work and give it to you..no meters but maybe some wire or leds and such!

Call is about 3 hours north of Houston, right on the tx and la line.

dont sweat it, i will eventually get my stock built back up, i found an old box of stuff in the shed today and started working on my simple mods i wanted to do. Still haven't started the auto fold mirrors but maybe next weekend.

your doors dont lock when you start driving? would make the mirrors folding when it locks awkward wouldnt it?

Nope, that feature is turned off on all of my vehicles. The child locks are turned on but there is no reason i want my doors to be locked.

Sorry to hear that, that really sucks. My company supplies my Multimeter, soldering irons, and all my electrical tools. I have my own personal tools but that stays in the house. Hopefully insurance or your business will reimburse you for your loss.

I know the company is out of the question, I have not even considered insurance, i will call my agent tomorrow and ask him about that.
