Which bulb model did you get? The 9008 or the H13? Or does it matter?

Come on Ford, you can do better. I know you can.
They did! For MY 13 they added projection HID's to the F150 line up! lol

I added a quality HID kit in my stock housings, I know what people say about that but I have been running them for 2 years and have not been flasshed once or hassled by the police who I pass at least once a day. The difference is night and day between the halogen and HID even the silver star bulbs can't touch it.

Ultimately I want to get a projector retro and put HIDS in but $500 and up is a lot of coin to drop.

Now some people will say Ebay Projectors are junk, it's really just personal likeings to them. You will pay $150-200 at most for them, and they are very bright. I loved mine, and it sure beats paying $300 for just a projector, and thats not even including having someone install it and go through all that process to get it to you after there done. Your truck, your opinion, your money do whats going to please you.
I just wish the ones on eBay weren't so ricerish. I wish they had some with just one projector and no leds

Just get the retro fit ones from a couple of the members on here. You will have to wait but they look great and they do great work. The parts are all great and made for HID and do not believe they use plastic for the projectors like the Ebay stuff.

Glad other folks noticed this too. I took my new truck out Saturday night with the family and my wife and I were less than impressed with headlamp output. I wonder if the FX4's are hampered by the Harley style headlights they put in them now? They're more blacked out than normal (which look awesome), but they do give the black look during daylight. I ordered some sylvania silverstar ultra's for the headlamps and a set of LED fog light replacements that my employer makes. We'll see how it turns out!

Quick Reply: Not impressed with the headlights.
