Default Not impressed with the headlights.

I just got back from a weekend road trip with my new truck. Friday night we were driving on a remote highway. I have to say the headlights and high beams were not very impressive. I'd have to say there were pretty poor actually. I had a Subaru Impreza before this with projector beams which were fantastic ( I know these will be bright ) but my wife's 2008 Grand Cherokee has halogen lamps just like the f150 and they are waaaay brighter. Come on Ford, you can do better. I know you can.

If you're not afraid to drop some money on improvements, look into retrofits! I hated my stick headlights as well..

Retro Fits are the way to go if you want a good quality never let you down type of head light, but you will pay a hefty price for them. Now you can go on Ebay and get yourself a Projector Headlight with HID's installed in them, and you will never complain again. Now some people will say Ebay Projectors are junk, it's really just personal likeings to them. You will pay $150-200 at most for them, and they are very bright. I loved mine, and it sure beats paying $300 for just a projector, and thats not even including having someone install it and go through all that process to get it to you after there done. Your truck, your opinion, your money do whats going to please you.

Mine were just aimed too low. Raised it a bit and that made a world of difference.

Just change the bulbs. Went to Phillips Xtreme, gives a white light without the cheesy blue cheaper bulbs. Ot's about $50. Have them in my fogs as well.

Thanks for your suggestions guys. I'll look into the Phillips Xtreme first and see how it goes.

Swapped to these bulbs as well and I'm very happy. Usually never even use the brights anymore. I put them in my 2010 and bought more for my 2011. Have had them over a year now and no problems.

Not only are the headlight's dim but also the backup light's. My '04 was much better. What's up with this?
