Default Not even 2500 miles on BRAND NEW TRUCK and tranny is leaking??

I saw a drip wiped it away and drove it more and it returned. Its right at the lip of the bell housing behind the oil pan plug. Engine is a 5.0 if it even matters. What a kick in the *****.

Tex, I have read here that this seems to be very common with some of the F150s. It has been mentioned often on the ecoBoost forums, but I don't think it is unique to those. I think it is a seal, o-ring, etc. or some such. Others will chime in to let you know for sure, but it was common from about last April through September builds I read...

Ya I saw the other long thread about the tranny leak. I have a free oil change through the dealership and I plan on using it at 3,000 miles. I wonder if they would tell me about the leak if I didn't say anything?

It's more than likely the rear main seal leaking

Why would you think they wouldn't say anything???

It's their job to fix cars and they paid for warranty work.

It is the transmission pump.

Well if you want to **** them off, let them do the oil change, pull the truck out of the shop and everything, and then if they don't tell you about the tranny leak, ask them to go check it out

I would tell them. Chances are they wont even notice the leak during an oil change, especially if it's just a small drip.
