I've seen posts saying that Seafoam is bad for turbos and boost hurts mileage. I call bs on both, everything I've owned until now has had atleast one turbo if not two.
The brand of gas didn't seem to matter in the 5.4..... I will check the tire pressure, just to be sure. Bottom line very similar truck, same altitude and location (WY) my old 5.4 seems to be better on mpg. FWIW, I really don't want to add anything to the gas since the turbos are so close to the exhaust, if the additive raises the exhaust temp, I would be scared of hurting the turbos. It only has 8600 miles, the injectors certainly don't need to be cleaned yet.

Winter gas has a big impact. My mileage on my 14 will go up when the summer gas arrives. Depending on the region you could take a 1.5-3 mpg hit. Right now my 4x4 Screw EB with 3.73 gears (4,000 miles) is getting 17.5 mpg (according to truck). My hand calculation shows that the computer is only off about .2 to .5 mpg, so I use it as it is close enough. I drive in the Smoky Mountains, so it isn't like the turbos never get work! I have noticed that 62-65 mph is about the breaking point for better mileage. Anything above that, especially with any headwind, takes it down pretty quickly.

Ive had an EB and 2 5.0's in the past 3-4 years, they are very comparable in consumption.

Yes I understand the winter gas thing.....I have lived in the north all my life. It is weird, I can set cruise at 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 and it pretty much doesn't make any difference on mpg. 15-16 with no wind or hills. If I set it above 70 it drops to about 14.

Brand of gas will matter a great deal. If the truck is that new I would definitely take the truck in just to make sure. Not matter how many miles are on the truck or tanks of fuel, it only takes one fillup with some sort of crap in the fuel to gunk up the injectors. I'm not saying that's the problem, just suggestions. I've had tons of turbos, I've never had issues using seafoam. I have noticed issues with certain brands of fuel. I try to stay away from ethanol myself.
