Thank you! I'll give this a try and let you know how it works.
Here's a link to the 2015 Escape sync version 4.6, same one I'm using in my truck. Works great, I also used it to update my wife's 2014 Escape. Copy the contents (do not unzip any of it) to a thumb drive and update as usual.

I tried this a couple of different times with a couple of different drives. The first time it wouldn't even recognize that there were files on the drive. The second time I looked at the files and noticed that there was a folder called __MACOSX with a bunch of files in it. I deleted that one and was able to at least start the install. It worked for a few seconds, then said "Installation Complete" but from the instructions I knew that this was just the first part. I then waited almost an hour (engine running) and nothing further happened. Would you mind sharing with me the steps you used to get it working?
