Default No factory incentives on ecoboost engine?

A guy reporter over on Pickuptrucks.com that he went to order a truck and the dealer said that there are NO incentives on the ecoboost engine. A dealer on the same thread said that the ecoboost does have differerent incentives and it currently shows NO incentives.

so the question is? would you buy an ecoboost engine, get only 5% better mpg than the 5.0 and pay $750 plus several thousand in lost rebates extra?

Hell no!!!!!!!!!!!!

We don't know whether there are rebates applied or not. I guess as the first ones arrive we will find out

Ford's website says "not available on Ecoboost or Raptor" for their current incentive offers. I confirmed this with a dealer. Makes the +$750 charge now +$3000 to get the 'boost. I really want one and am itchin to pull the trigger on an order, but its hard knowing that much money is left on the table. I guess Ford thinks it will sell on hype alone...

The EB has its place. Next to a diesel, if one lives in Oregon, Colorado, or at high altitudes where a normally aspirated engine loses a sizable portion of HP/torque, this engine is the best thing going next to a turbo diesel V8. That, plus it has a quite flat torque curve which helps when the vehicle is lugging stuff up and down hillsides.

However, if one doesn't need the 1-5 MPG gain the EB has, or lives near sea level, then perhaps the good old fashioned 6.2 would be the ticket instead, if one wants the large engine.

I cant get in too much at this time, but I assure you there will be rebates on the EcoBoost.

The only reason the internet says that is because the EcoBoost isnt out yet. Once its actually available, all that will change.

I have a $500 rebate for the ecoboost (any ford excluding raptor, fiesta, and focus s) from signing up to test drive. Id transfer it to someone, but it reads can only transfer to immediate family members.

This is in addition to the $750 mailer that came.

In Canada all the rebates posted applied to all the makes of the F150. I ordered my 11' FX4 in December and got a $6k Factory Rebate, $1k Ford Loyalty, $1k Costco Member, and $1.5k for using Ford Credit for Financing.

You were right BJatFiveStarFord. I just checked this morning and Ford has removed the Raptor and Ecoboost restriction from the incentive offerings. Thanks for the input - I ordered mine last week going off of that! Hurry up 8 weeks - I'm ready to drag a tree up a mountain!!

In my area (Philly area - Quality Plus Ford) ford.com still shows "Not available on EcoBoost and Raptor."
