Default Sync Naviagation System

Can anyone tell me if there is a navigation update available. I have an 09 Platinum and it seems to be missing quite a new few streets and addresses?
Thanks.

Sync has nothing to do with maps/Nav. You have to buy the new map CD for your unit to update it.

Sync can't do that but you can listen to your phones gps apps' direction using bluetooth.

Go to the sinc website updates are free, but up grades your going to have to take it to your dealer for that.

Talked to my dealer, and they want $300 for the CD update and no guarantees that it will have all the latest data. Sounds like a cheap Garmin is the way to go. Thanks.

You can get the update for $199.00 directly from Navteq: navigation.com/fordmapupdate. Still expensive, but a little cheaper than the dealer. Still no guarantee of how up to date it is.

This is the route I would go, however I would talk to them and see how up to date it is. seems the one in my 2010 is around 5 years out of date already which sucks. Havent got around to checking on torrent sites yet, there is probably a cracked version out there for free if any techies own an f150 with nav, haha!

Sync and Nav are totally separate unless you dont have the screen and are using it through your phone.
