Here's a close up of the ipad mini and how it fits the cutout. You can see the front facing camera. Also, you can see the thickness of the 3m tape if you look hard, but Its not noticeable at all. Just make sure no tape goes over the edge or it will be visible from the front. The home button is about the same distance from the edge on the other side as the camera. Biggest issue was the lightning cable strain relief was trimmed a little 1/8" so it didn't get caught up.

Here's the link. The stock picture from metra is a little deceiving, it doesn't show the piece that tapers back that frames/recesses the ipad. That must have been edited out. You can see how it actually is on a few of the pictures on this thread. Since the ipad sits back a little it helps with glare. Hard to explain, but makes it look better in person.

Well, the ipad does sit flush up against the back of the dash kit. There's no gap or space. What the stock pictures don't show is that the cutout frame itself is recessed back from the front face of the dash kit. It actually makes if look pretty good recessed back like that. Hopefully this pictures helps with the explanation

Its called LeechTunes. No clue why they named it that, but its a gesture based control and it looks pretty clean with some nice backgrounds. Only thing I don't like about it is that its playlist control is a little quirky. I usually pull up what I want in the regular default music app and then switch over to this one. It then plays whatever playlist I had playing.
