Default No crank / no start

Hello everyone.im new to this forum but not to ford trucks.ive been happy ford owner my whole life iguess should say until now. I have a 2012 ecoboost .I walked out to my truck this morning and tried to start it .... Nothing.no crank nothing.the battery and starter are good no doubt,tried starting neutral, i hear a click come from pass. Side fuse panel area when i try to start it. This has happened once before but it started after waiting a few minutes. Im at the end of my rope here. Please help! Thankyou!

Check fuses, tap on the starter and see if it turns over.

How do you know the starter and battery are good?

Any aftermarket security systems?

Wasn't there issues with the safety switch in the shifter causing issues with no start? I read that you can tell if it is bad because the "P" for park in the instrument cluster will not be illuminated.

Sure was and still is an issue. I just went through this last week with my 2011 Ecoboost. I had to jump my truck every morning and sometimes in the afternoon for lunch. It would then run/start fine the remainder of the day. The next morning, it would be dead again and the process would repeat itself... I changed the gear shift switch $22/20 min to install (even though it seemed to be working correctly) and found a corroded wire in my C405 connector (drivers side, just behind the spare tire). After correcting both issues and using FORScan to disable my battery monitoring system, I haven't had the issue repeat yet (knock on wood)... Read this thread, hopefully this helps:
