NHTSA being fooled??

I have never seen so much bickering over such a small issue .. Sure my truck has done the misfire one time but at no point did I feel like the wheels was about to come off and put my life in danger .. I let out of the fuel, went to neutral and everything went back to normal .. I was expecting a white knuckle moment but it was next to nothing..

A lot of crap over a non issue, unless you were doing something risky at the time......

Lets at least put in perspective. What if this misfire/limp mode happened when your wife or sibling was driving your truck..Would they know what to do?? Panic might set in and may not end up in a favorable situation. I guess you could always post a disclaimer on your truck dash that tells a driver how to reaction if the truck loses power and starts to shake!! I can guarantee you one thing,, If any EB owner could swap there truck out w/o a huge loss, there would be a lot of EB's sitting on dealer lots or back at the FORD plant right now..

This is a sue happy nation we live in and if by any chance someone could prove,, such as in this thread that you were aware of an issue with your truck, be it once, or never happening to you, you are opening up a can of law suit. Yeah they will go after Ford, but think about it as we all agree,,, you can go after the big Ford lawyers and maybe win or you can go after the driver and probably win! I know the issue is an issue, it has happened to me,,, and I agree that I didn't kill someone, nor did I have a problem getting off to the side of the road! But again, given the wrong conditions and the wrong time is what it takes to have something you think you can handle turn out to be something you can't. Also the true fact is,,, it isn't only how you handle the problem it is also who is behind you?? If they are texting or looking at the nice babe next to them and then look up and see a truck sitting right in front of them,,,, well, I guess I will hope they own a Honda van and one that the brakes come on by themselves! I know how to drive with this issue, it isn't any different when my master cylinder went out years ago,, all I did was give myself a lot more distance to stop. So I do suggest that nobody owning a F150 ecoboost does WOT for any reason and you will be ok.

I understand the concern about the misfire, buy why push it at or near WOT? I would never do this on the EB. If you WOT it revs high. The power in the EB is all in the lower end. IMO, those who have had the problem aren't really driving the EB as they should.

Eh .. honestly that's like when Steve Jobs came out in front of a national audience to tell everybody they were holding the iPhone 4 incorrectly and that's why the signal dropped on them. If the pedal is not meant to be mashed, the should put a little bumper on the floor that prevents it from doing so.

Damn the hand-wringing over this issue is pathetic. I don't know how some of you manage to get out of bed in the morning what with all the lightning deaths and bathtub slips happening left and right.
