Default New trailer, tips?

Bought anew cargo trailer for work. H&H 7x16 vnose CT series, curb weight ~3000lbs. Tandem, torsion axles, full brakes. I have Firestone bags in the truck already, might haul ~1500-2000lb of gear and bikes on mainly highway. Have an Anderson rapid hitch left over from a previous trailer so adjusting height should not be a problem.

Any tips I could use on towing with a gas engine? Anything else I need?

Road report to come after my first trip to the US with it in a week or so.

Driving an 09 5.4L Platinum super, 3.55 gears, brake controller, no tow mirrors.

you should not have any problems towing that little of weight the only thing that would really help would be the wide towing mirrors but they are not needed

Hey man, I'm no pro with towing as I have only towed two trailers now but I think you have it all set and ready to go. My travel trailer is just under 5000lbs dry and I towed it super easy! My truck sagged just under 2 inches, and I think with the bags you'r going to have Very little sag and worries.
So my only tip will be to practice if your new to trailers all together! What kind of business?

Yeah I was a bit worried about the weight and 7 wide but what the hell...lol....it is a nice trailer IMHO. Not so new to trailers but I have not pulled with a gas engine for 12-14 years...since I was 17 or so with dads truck and 5x8 trailer..haha.

I got a couple interesting things with it....picked up a "Swift Hitch" totally wireless camera...magnet or suction to the rear of anything...watch on a handheld TV screen...all battery, all wireless. I'll post a review once I test it a bit too...should help on some of my tighter locations.

I'm a geologist so I haul my work /science geek gear to work, and usually way to many toys (bikes, quads, maybe a sled, etc) if the jobs are longer than 14 days....headed down to Montana / North Dakota for a year project on 21 days wells, so I have to take me some entertainment...thus the trailer. Plus I hate leaving gear out in the mud / snow. I'd rather have a nice closed in "shed" to fix things or store my bulkier gear.

Picked it up today and pulled it through the city and out onto the freeway for a little test run before my big trip. slushy / icy roads, empty trailer (3050lb curb wt), tandem, 3500lb torsions, all wheels have brakes, factory brake controller in the truck (Screw Plat), Firestone Bags in the rear end.

Aside from the engine working a bit more than usual....you'd never know the trailer was there! It rode BEAUTIFULLY! No bouncing, no skipping, no jerking, no sway to speak of, and I passed some big trucks at 120 (65?) on the highway....drove over a ****load of tracks and such..it just pulls so much nicer than I expected.

Well done Ford, well done.
