Default New tires tomorrow need help

I know there are tons of threads on tires here and I have read them/ planned for about a year... I need some new tires tomorrow for the bad weather coming. My front tires are horribly worn down on the sides from the previous owner. I have came down to the Nitto terra grappler g2 and general grabber at2 or the bfg at ko. I would get the dura tracs but they are a little out of my range and too aggressive of a tread for what I need. I need a good all around tire for inclement weather, fishing, and hunting. I got a quote today for 820 on the nittos. I am going to shop around tomorrow morning, and pull the trigger around noon. Other tires I have also looked at are the Yokohama geolandar ats which are on our landrover, cooper discoverer at3, and hankook dynapros. Thanks and please let me know what y'all think. I just got this truck a year ago and this is the first time I have ever bought tires.

I put Cooper AT3s on my truck. They've got about 35,000 miles on them and as of last service they had 8/32 tread left (about half). I am getting lots of wear along the outside edges of the tires; dealer said I was out of alignment. I rotate every 5,000 but I've had two instances where it was closer to 8,000 before they were rotated.

So far they've tackled lots of lease roads (gravel/rock), mud, snow, and rain without issue. They do feel like they're starting to get a little slick now though.

Thanks for your reply. I'm glad to know that yours are wearing on the side also, which will tell me to make sure I get my new tires rotated often like you.
Here is what my tires on the front look like... You can see the outside is very worn and as you go in the tread builds up. I'd hate for that to happen on brand new tires

Thw cooper st maxx is akso a nice affordablw all terrain. Frim experience the coopers wear well too. I wouls checj those out. A bit more aggressive than some you mentioned. The bfg is always a good choice too.

General Grabber AT2...is what I have on my truck for winter/hunting.

I have the 20 Pirellis for summer and went to 18s in the grabber for winter in a P rating. Great ride, extremely good traction.

Good to see the General Tires coming up more and more...
I personally do not like the duratracs, they look way to "Utility truckish".

These are what I have had on my last 2 trucks. They are great in the snow, rain and light mud. Discount Tire will price match anyone.

Are you sticking with the stock size 275/65r18 or are you going bigger? All the above you mentioned are great tires I am waiting for the BFG KO2 to come out in my size but the original KO are nice as well. The General AT2 are pretty much like the KO and are cheaper. Good luck on your tire purchase be sure to post pics once you have bought and mounted.

if you are wanting snow traction consider KO2, Exo Grapplers, and finally Toyo AT2. I have the AT2, and wish I spent the extra money on the mountain snowflake rated exo grapplers just in case I need them more often. but yeah, Exos or the KO2 are good AT tires that also are supposed to be great in the snow. I have yet to drive me AT2 Extremes in the snow, so not sure how they work, but like you should find out in a day or two.

Separate point about the above pictured tires. that occurs because you do not have enough air pressure. too low and the sides wear, too high and the center wears.

Good luck!

I'm pretty sure I'm staying with stock size. I think it would look better with bigger tires but I don't want to have to re calibrate my speedometer or pay more for a bigger tire. I have looked at the KO2 and if I can get a decent quote on them that's what I'm very highly considering. Thanks!
