Sorry to highjack the thread, but... How loud are the Duratrac's compared to the stock Goodyears? Any loss in fuel mileage?

Thanks,
Hutch

Recommend to use the psi on the sticker in the door jam.

That is for the stock tires. E rated tires require a higher psi.

I did the chalk test and I felt 50psi gave my tires the best coverage in the front and 45psi gave me the best in back. It is only when I have a load when I raise my rear tires to 50-75 psi depending on the load.

I'll run a dB meter in the truck this afternoon when I hit the road and let you know how loud they are. The stockers run 67dB on concrete freeway at 75mph.

Surprise, Surprise!

These Duratracs are WAY quieter on the freeway than the stockers were. The new tires measured 63 dB in the cab at 70mph. The odd thing was that I could hear the back tires whining a bit (but not the fronts) despite the overall noise level being much quieter.

Current tire pressure was 70psi front and 60psi rear. I also noticed that the outer edge of the rear tires was not touching the ground when driving so I dropped the pressure to 50psi and I'll see if the noise level changes.

Are your duratracs the same size or larger?

If the stocker goodyears are quieter than the Pirellis, the duras have gotta be pretty damn quiet
