I've been doing lots of reading on this subject as well and I think you'll be fine with the 305/55/20s. Whenever I decide to change my tires that's the size I'll be going with however I will be adding a leveling kit.

It's in parentheses because that's the width of the wheel that the tire was mounted on when it was measured.

My 2010 FX4 has 305/55r20 Terra Grapplers on stock wheels and stock suspension. Yes the wheels are a different style than 2011, but the dimensions are the same. There is zero rubbing on my truck with this combo.

I wish Nitto would make a 33.5x12x20, that size would be ideal on the OEM wheel's.

Default will 305 fit with different offset?

hey all - I've been looking into this as well and actually came across PawPaw's previous posts that the 305/55/20 fit on his stock wheels, but what about a wheel with different offset?

Stock is +44 I believe, and I'm looking at one -12 (10in wheel, so 5.00 bs)...I know the wheels will stick out (flares would be added), but would this offset cause any rubbing issues on a non-leveled 4x4? I would think that the offset would give even more suspension clearance, but not sure about fender/wheel well area...any thoughts?

It will bulge out quite a bit..Again I may be incorrect but I just finished shopping for new wheels and tires and did a ton of research and ready hundreds of threads. My conclusion is you will have problems with that tire on that setup
Your incorrect !! 305/55/20 will fit fine on a 4X4 with stock wheels.

tech is right
Even Nitto Tires says it will work on their vehicle sizing app. '11 F150, FX4 4x4 SCREW, 20" option. For me I assume '12 is the same.

305/50R20 120S2004508.5-(9.5)-11.0 32.13535

OK, this is odd. Just looking on Ebay for fun I found these Nittos. The LT version. On the Nitto website it shows they fit the same rim size. However if you look at the label on these tires at the bottom it states 9-10 inch rims. Different translation of rim width maybe?

On the bid sheet at the bottom they show for 8.5 to 11 inch wide wheel's. On the stock 8.5 wheel's they've been wearing fine. Have about 15k miles on mine in a year.

Usually when you get too far off from the stock wheel specs is when you have rubbing problem's in the front wheel area. Ideal would be a wheel 1/2 to 1 inch more then stock for more control arm clearance but not to cause rubbing on the valance or wheelwell area's by increasing the front track width.

I went 295/60r20 (34.5 in") with the Trail Grapplers and the width and height are great on a 2" level and +20 offset. Only had minor trimming on the plastic. Not even close to rubbing on control arm at full lock.

Planning on the Terras next set
