What happends if you try to connect your phone or shut off the truck before it gives you the second update complete voice command? I think I did that..

Dunno, I waited the first time and got both complete prompts, 2nd time I sent the update thru I only got the last completed prompt, just sent the update thru again for the 3rd time and didn't get any complete prompts, low and behold all the mobile apps are right where they should be and voice command works like a charm again.

Holy crap!!! Hopefully 3rd times a charm because if I have to go thru this every farking day I'd just as soon rip this pos out and put something else in.

I was on lunch at work, I just went back out to my truck again and re synced my phone and entered the PIN and what not, and everything works and it now shows artist information.. What apps is everyone talking about?

In my case it's mobile apps, Pandora, Slacker Radio, iHeart radio, Amazon Music and so on.

Bluetooth audio works as it should it's the mobile app start up where the problem is, if you have an iPhone this does not apply to you.

Ahhaa, I do have a iphone.. Thank you for clearing this up. I assume that if its working, all went well and its ok? It was freaking me out before because the screen was frozen and it wouldnt let me choose aux selections, it was all glitchy. Seems ok now.

3rd time updating so far so good, all mobile apps working as well as voice command, if it lasts past a day I might hope for a week, then a month, maybe even a year? Just my luck I'll get it stable just about the time the damn hardware craps out. This has been like getting Win ME operating reliably, finally got it working and WinXP comes out

I have a friend who can text from her Explorer. She says she can post on FB and it will read text messages to her. She has the MyFordTouch Sync thing as her Explorer is loaded. i have the crappy little display field of gray only letters in my STX. it does not display the artist or song title either in my truck. I cant send or have my truck read me texts either. Is that normal? I can call and get calls though. I have an iPhone 6+ 64G.

LOL, on the ME Reference, I had the same issue with Vista, then Voila, 7 was out.

Don't feel to bad about the Mobile Apps, mine picks up XM Mobile, and Sync Destinations, Pandora has been lost due to a Pandora update a while back, and I am pretty Pissed cause the Bluetooth connection does show info, but I cannot select stations and everything through the voice commands.

I'm having a problem after the update. I have the sony nav, sync system 2012. If i press the touchscreen to change media from usb it gets stuck at line in...no matter how many times i touch the "line in" icon it beeps like normal,but doesn't change. The only way to get it out is to use voice commands. It will say "mobile apps" even though the screen says line in. I say "usb", and it switches over just fine. Glitchy???
