I agree......but what if they put the same EB engine in it, and it weighed something like a 1,000 pounds less than an F150?
THAT would be one quick little truck, and could still probably get high 20's mpg on the highway.
I doubt that the conceptual drawing (which I think IS the Ranger sold elsewhere in the world) would be an accurate rendering of what they'd sell here.
A tow rating of only 3,000 pounds is also pretty weak.

3k towing capacity is exactly why they phased out the original Ranger. Not capable enough. Some crossovers can tow more than that! If it was closer to 5k-6k then maybe it would succeed. Far as I'm concerned the 3.7 F-150 is a much better choice than a compact pickup.
