Default New STX, a few ?

Posted this in general section but probably belongs here in this section.

Man it is nice, only has the 3.7 but is good enough for my needs. This trans shifts smooth. Only plan to us it to pull small toy hauler in the future, a 16 footer max, smaller if I can find one. Ordered the aftermarket tow hitch, will probably get the ford harness and figure out the brake controller later. Ordered the nerf bars for it too as my wife is a shortish petite woman. I have a few questions.

Should I do a spray liner in the bed, don't plan to use it for hauling much?

What are the holes on the inside of the bed, 3 sets each side, they look like they are meant to mount something.

Will do oil change asap to my favorite Synthetic.

The interior cabin light is weak.

Stereo will need some beefing up.

Any preferred leather seat covers?

Got it for 27k OTD, prob could have done better but hey its a Ford, the last non government owned car maker in America.

Congrats on the STX, make sure to post some pictures here and in the STX thread in this forum. What color did you get? I would protect your bed for sure. I got the plastic Ford bed liner, as I put my bike in there and didn't want the pedals scratching the bed. I believe I have handles/hooks on both sides of my bed, not sure about holes.

Congrats!

The holes in the bed I think are for Fords rail/track system. I would suggest the Line-X liner. Can be pricey, but worth it IMO.

Nice buy! Get the spray-in bed liner. Mine is Vortex, done at the dealership prior to my purchase. I think Pale Screw is right about the holes. I have 4 tie-downs too.

Anyway, back to the bed liner - get one! I love just being able to toss firewood and other stuff in there and not having to worry about it.

Just purchased a Red STX with the 3.7 also and loving it. I just installed the Dualiner bedliner and Bakflip F1 bed cover. The quality and fit of both products is excellent.

BTW the three holes you are referring too are for a bed extender.

That is correct if the holes are close to the tailgate.
